The MSc in Renewable Energy and Energy Access is a two-year full-time master’s programme offered over four semesters including one recess term. In the first and second semesters of the first year, students attend taught courses delivered through lectures, tutorials and practical training. Subsequently, the students undertake Work Placement in an energy access enterprise. In the first year, students also develop and seekapproval for their research proposal. The second year of the programme is mainly dedicated for research and dissertation writing, with only 9 Credit Units (CUs) allocated for taught courses. To successfully complete the programme and graduate, students must acquire a total of 66 CUs.

Annual tuition fees for students from East African Community is Uganda Shillings 4,200,000/=, and alongside recess term fees Uganda Shilling 300,000/= payable once, in the first year.
Tuition fees for international students is Uganda Shilling 10,500,000/= only per year, alongside recess term fees of Uganda Shillings 750,000 payable once, in the first year.
